Contact Grouping
Managing your contacts with Chatflow is really quite simple. Drag and drop contacts into the groups you have already created or start a new group from scratch.
Grouping your contacts makes it really easy to stay in touch with the people you want, when you want. Everything is seamlessly synced with Facebook so any changes you make within Chatflow will also be updated on Facebook and vice versa.
We've also made it super easy to edit groups on the fly, no more settings screens, no hassles, just click and type! Oh, and of course you can appear offline to particular groups.
This feature is a little hard to explain and is much better experienced first-hand. In short, when you have several groups and many people online, it can be very frustrating trying to drag a contact into a group at the bottom of the list. This usually requires you to drag and then try and scroll at the same time.
We figured the only thing that matters when you want to drag and drop is the contact being dragged and the groups available to drag them into. So, as soon as you start to drag, all other contacts collapse leaving just the groups visible. This makes it really easy to drop regardless of how big the list is at the time and hence the term "No Scroll Dragging".
Also, when you hover over a particular group, the current online contacts are displayed to give you even more feedback.
Trying to keep track of Facebooks news feed is nearly impossible with the overload of information that is displayed. If you're anything like us you have hundreds of contacts and get 300+ news updates every time you check the site!
Because grouping your contacts is so easy with Chatflow, we've also added the ability to view custom news feeds for the groups you create.
For example, if you grouped your family contacts together you will also have the option to only display news from your family group making it really easy to keep in touch with them.
Conveying emotion is always difficult over chat. The best way to do this has always been via emoticons or "smileys". Finding the right smiley for the job is usually pretty annoying via the traditional methods. You either have to remember the text shortcut for them or you have to wade through an array of examples trying to hunt down the one you like best.
So, we've come up with a better way by grouping all smileys into emotions.
For example, if you are joking and want the perfect smiley to convey this you hover over the joke smiley and all other smileys that also convey this emotion are displayed. Same goes for happy, sad, angry etc.
Send photos, documents, zip files etc. to any Facebook contact regardless if they have Chatflow or not. Clicking "send file" within the chat window will open up your file browser giving you the option to select the file you wish to send. Alternatively, you can just drag and drop the file into the chat window!
Instantly save any conversation into a nicely formatted text file with one click.
For example, you just had a hilarious conversation with someone and you want to share it with others or perhaps you got directions on how to fix your computer from your IT savvy friend and need to refer back to their instructions later.
Chatflow will check and correct your spelling as you type! If you are really paranoid you can even have Chatflow only allow messages to be sent if everything is spelt correctly.
Get notifications and alerts right to your desktop directly from Facebook live and as it happens. Chatflow will alert you as soon as someone tags you in a photo, writes on your wall, likes your status etc. You can even get notifications as people come online to chat.
